Aeden O'Connor Agurcia is a Honduran director/producer based in LA who focuses on social dramas and thrillers set in multicultural worlds.
He studied Directing for Film and Television at Emerson College and the Prague Film School, where his thesis film AMCEB won the bronze prize award. He then worked as a production assistant on Netflix's Unsolved (2018), the 4th season of Amazon’s Bosch (2018) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). His debut feature 90 Minutes is ‘a portrait of contemporary Honduras as seen through the lens of its societal obsession with soccer’ (Scott Feinberg, The Hollywood Reporter). 90 Minutes won the Audience Award at the 37th Miami International Film Festival over the other 42 films in contention, being signed by Outsider Pictures for U.S. and international sales. It played at dozens of festivals worldwide before being picked up by Pantaya for exclusive streaming rights. Aeden served as a juror at the 38th Miami International Film Festival for the $45,000 Knight Made in MIA Feature Film Award.
He is currently developing his second film, Sun Falls. Aeden also formed part of the cohort of the 2023 Sony Diverse Writers Program.
